AI Assistant

AI Assistant
The AI assistant knows your project context – tasks, chats and files – instead of living in a separate chat window without any context.
There are two ways to run it:
Both can be mixed: in the chat you pick per conversation which AI answers. Details: Set up AI.
On the Free plan
Free includes no built-in AI. The AI features can be used there with your own access (one provider). See Plans & Limits.
What the assistant can do
- Answer questions about projects, tasks, and content
- Research & analyze
- Create, assign and complete tasks and split large ones
- Create texts & documents that land directly in your project
- Generate images and file them on a task
- Summarize meetings and turn decisions into tasks
- Schedule reminders and recurring work – see Schedule
- Remember things – see AI memory
Charts, forms and actions in chat
The AI can output more than text: charts (bar, line, pie), flow diagrams, forms to fill in, and action buttons that – after you confirm – really change something in Liza (e.g. "complete these 5 tasks"). Just ask for an analysis or a form; the AI picks the right representation.
Where you use it
- In the AI area (navigation → AI) for general questions
- On a task or list – answers stay tied to that context and can be found later in the task's history
Every AI conversation is private by default (only you see it) and can be shared with the team.
More on AI & agents
- Set up AI (providers & keys) – included AI, own keys, credit
- AI memory – what the AI remembers permanently
- Coding agents – agents & skills in the desktop app
- AI session on a task – job queue and auto-start
- Schedule: planned tasks – reminders and autonomous AI runs
For developers
Programmatic AI access to Liza runs through the MCP server – including for clients like Claude Code.
