Privacy & EU Cloud

Liza is built as a European alternative: European cloud, European law, GDPR-compliant.

European cloud

Liza runs exclusively on 100% European cloud providers, and Liza itself is a 100% EU company (Made in Germany & EU). The full list of the services used is in the subprocessor list.

Choose your data region

When you create your workspace you set the data region:

  • EU, USA or Asia

Data stays in the chosen region. In all three regions the cloud provider is purely European.

AI & data

Where AI requests go depends on which route you use (see Set up AI):

  • Included Liza AI – requests run through the Mistral platform (France, EU). This also holds for models offered there that do not come from Mistral itself: Liza talks to that single European endpoint only.
  • Your own access (BYOK) – requests go to the provider you chose, e.g. Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google) or Mistral. The respective provider's privacy terms apply, so pick the provider according to your data-protection requirements.

Admins can centrally decide which AI providers are allowed in the organization at all, and forbid personal API keys entirely – see policies.

What the AI remembers permanently can be viewed, exported and deleted – see AI memory.
